Stampin’ Up! is always so good at keeping up with the trends, and one whimsical fad right now is gnomes. We had a Christmas stamp set and now Friendly Gnomes is here for spring occasions and Valentine’s Day. BTW, the Gnomes dies coordinate with both stamp sets!

This is the inside of the triple panel gate-fold card that we made at my last Card Class. I had 2 extra card bases and inside panels, so I used those for my gnome cards. This is a standard gate fold – 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ from each side.

I love how these turned out! I gave a few tips in THIS VIDEO. I used the Country Gingham Designer Paper to line the sides of the gate fold. I stamped the mushroom in Sahara Sand ink so it was more of a background for the star of the show – Mr. Heart Gnome, who was popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Did you notice? I used the Paper Piecing technique to add a gingham heart to the image (details in video linked above). The rest of the gnome is colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. The black shoes were too dark, so I used the Color Lifter to lighten them up.
