St. Patrick’s Day Shaker Card
Every year I make a few St. Paddy’s Day cards using the Stampin’ Up! supplies that I have on hand. (You can use the search box for previous projects). We have lots of great green colors – this year I used Granny Apple green. Usually I am making shamrocks out of heart punches or dies, but this year I went to the Petal Park Builder punch – one of the blossoms is perfect. Or you can use the Flowers & Leaves punch – that works too.
The stem for my shamrock is from the Gnomes dies, or you can fussy cut one out of a scrap. Pumpkin Pie makes a great beard for this leprechaun. Stampin’ Up! has a lot of stamp sets that say “good luck” so I grabbed one – Sending Smiles. I used the Sale-a-bration freebie Dandy Designs paper for all these cards, but if you missed it, I have some for sale.
This little leprechaun (ie Friendly Gnomes) found some gold flowers, almost as good as gold coins!
I made a quick shaker card from a clear envelope, a 4×4 piece of Designer Paper and sequins. Fold over the already present seal on the envelope and then the side with Tear & Tape. Attach to your card with additional Tear & Tape. Supply list is below and here’s a VIDEO.
Hope you have a fun St. Patrick’s day! My family is happy as long as they get a corned beef dinner!
Happy crafting,
Kim Wilson
