The Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin kit and beautiful add-on cards are just crying out for silhouettes.  Fortunately, Stampin’ Up! has many stamp sets that will do the trick.   Here are 3 ways to make a silhouette card.

1. Just stamp a solid (or mostly solid) stamp in black ink.  (My favorite is Tuxedo Black Memento).

Here I used the Whale Done stamp set.  You can’t get much easier than this!

I also tried:  My Meadow, Sending Sunshine and Life is Beautiful.

2.  For a detailed stamp such as this sailboat, color over the image with a black Stampin’ Write Marker or Stampin’ Blends Marker.

Here I used the Sailing Away stamp set.

3.  Add a punched out shape or die-cut from black cardstock to  add an eye catching layer to your card.

In the Pines is a new stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog.  Just swap out the sentiment for the included “Season’s Greetings” for an easy Christmas card to make in multiples.

Tip:  If you want to make the postcards into a full card, just layer onto a Thick Whisper White Cardstock base as I did in the moose and the sailboat cards above.
