Blossoms in Bloom

Large, double die-cuts are all the rage, and the Blossoms in Bloom bundle by Stampin’ Up! delivers a big wow.  It looks intricate, but each layer is just one cut with your die cut machine.  (Although I like to go back and forth a couple of times to be sure every piece is easy to remove).

This is one of the cards we will be making at my August Virtual Card Class.  The outline layer was sponged with Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Crushed Curry ink.  The inside layer is cut from Crushed Curry Cardstock.

Note the background mat (both this card and the one above) are dry embossed with Tasteful Textile.  I love this new embossing folder with it’s subtle texture.

Again I used the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder for the background and just added a simple outline die cut in Whisper White along with a sentiment.

Here I tried a different embossing folder for the background – Old World Paper.  I added a Purple Posy die cut to a Crumb Cake outline and again a simple sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.

Do you want a peek at my new Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine?

I love how sturdy yet portable it is.  I also love that all the plates are labeled so you never have to wonder which sandwich to use.  The Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine is available September 1, but you can add it now to your starter kit and save by joining Stampin’ Up!

…Back to Blossoms in Bloom.  Here are some projects designed by Stampin’ Up! concept artists.

I have recipes for these 5 cards as pdf files.  You can contact me through my website or facebook links to the right.

Card kits are now available for my August class (photo below).  Pdfs and videos for each project will also available.  You can contact me through my website or facebook links to the right.

I hope you enjoyed this look at one of the popular new bundles by Stampin’ Up!  I’ll be featuring Blossoms in Bloom again in an upcoming post about 2-fer cards and the split card technique.

Happy crafting,

Kim Wilson
