6×6 Paper and a Curvy Pop-Up Card

I have been using a lot of the 6×6 packs of Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! The papers are easy to use and just gorgeous. So many are retiring this month that I had to give them a shout out.

Stampin’ Up! DSP (as we call it):

  1. Is often designed to coordinate with a suite of products such as stamps and dies. The dies often cut out images from the paper – a real plus!
  2. Is artist designed so the patterns are often hand painted and then computer enhanced for frame-worthy pieces.
  3. Usually have images on the front and then a coordinating small pattern on the back for maximum utility.
  4. And of course coordinate with Stampin’ Up! colors perfectly!
Hello Irresistible and Tea Boutique 6×6 DSP Packs

This Layout is 6×6 friendly. It uses the small pattern as the background piece (5-1/4 x 4″) and a small piece of the side with images (2-3/4 x 1-1/4″) on the small center panel. The white panel is 2-3/4 x 1-1/4″. I found this layout on our Facebook group of over 40,000 demonstrators – just one of the perks when you JOIN STAMPIN’ Up!

This layout is versatile for almost any Stampin’ Up! paper or check out my product list below if you want the same ones that I used since they are simply delightful!

Curvy Pop Up Card

The By the Bay DSP is another 6×6 paper that is retiring this month. Look at how I used it to make a Curvy Pop-Up Card that folds flat into a standard medium envelope.

Instructions:

Card Base – Basic White 5-1/2 x 4-1/4″, score at 2-3/4″, DSP is 2 pieces of 4 x 2-1/2 (make larger if you want less of a white gap)

Inside pop-up – Basic White 4-1/2 x 2″ , score at 1/2, 2-1/4 and 4″, DSP is 2 pieces at 1-3/4 x 1-1/2″ (make larger if you want less of a white gap)

Outside pop-up – Basic White 6-1/2 x 1-1/4″, score at 1/2″ from each side , DSP is 5-3/8 x 1-1/8″ I used an additional small piece die cut with the coordinating Seaside Bay dies to look like sand.

You can see from photos where to attach the tabs for the pop up pieces. Add some die cut images and it all folds flat to mail!

I love the little oyster shell with pearl. I added a couple of flat pearls to the bottom pop-up too.

I also used the By the Bay DSP for my upcoming card class, as well as 2 more of the retiring 6×6 card packs for a fun fold and this cool quilted squares technique card. Kits are still available for the online class, and room in the in-person class (Erie, PA). Just contact me to sign up. Be sure you are subscribed to my newsletter for details of future classes too!

The Last Chance Sale is only for this month (April 2023), then these great papers will be gone for good! Don’t forget to grab your favorite retiring color ink and cardstock too.

Happy crafting,

Kim Wilson
