It seems that my hobbies of gardening and crafting go hand in hand. Stampin’ Up! carries a lot of floral stamps. That’s because they are best sellers and are so gorgeous too. This month our new little lilac bush was in bloom and a pot of poppies from last year surprised us with some beautiful blooms. We also visited Rochester, NY for the Lilac Festival – there were so many flowers and spring flowering trees.

So, I used the new In Colors to make some Lilacs from the new Wisteria Wishes stamp set. Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky are amazing color buddies for 2-step stamping. I also pulled out my older Painted Poppies stamp set for some quick coloring with the new Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers.

Tip: I tilted the stamps to the side to make the lilacs look more realistic.

Tip: By stamping panels like this, it’s easy to color then add to cards at a later time.
