The #simplestamping challenge from Stampin’ Up! for August is to make cards with just stamps, ink and paper and add a bit of Designer Series Paper.  The theme is Spooky or Whimsical.  I immediately thought of the Cute Fruit stamp set and paired it with the new Plaid Tiding Paper to make a boxed set of cards.

I love the 2-step stamping for the fruit, so you can combine different colors.

And the cute little faces for the fruit are so much fun.

How about a kiwi?

I’m draw to pineapples, since we hope go to Hawaii next year.  Should I stamp a happy face pineapple?

Smile, you’re at the top of the pile of oranges.  Change out the colors and you have lemons or limes.

We just cut up a big watermelon this week – yum!

And this is the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box that I used to store the cards.  What a nice gift for somone special – and it took such a short time to make!  #simplestamping
