Stampin’ Up! gives us a #simplestamping challenge each month.  That means just stamps, ink and paper.  For August the theme is birthdays.

Here is my easy birthday card with just one stamp (from Delightful Day) and the scalloped Note Cards & Envelopes.

I turned the card inside out, so the Terracotta Tile color was on the inside.  I stamped in Memento Black ink and used my Terracotta Tile marker to color the shapes and add a few squiggles.  You can’t get any easier than that.

To step it up a bit, I added the Stitched Labels Dies and a strip of Designer Series Paper to make a baby card.

I stamped in Old Olive and Terracotta Tile.

Tip:  My ink pad was really juicy and was making the flowers too dark and splotchy.  I just took my acrylic block and pushed the ink down and to the side.  This cleared off a spot to ink up my stamp for a nice image.
