My Stampin’ Up! team held a fun and relaxing craft retreat last weekend at Edinboro Camp and Retreat Center.

Got the Paper, Pizza and Pillow!

I was in the mood for scrapbooking my 80’s photos after celebrating the 30th anniversary of Stampin’ Up! earlier in the month.  It was so fun to recall people and events from my life decades ago.  A weekend retreat was the perfect time to spread out and really dig into my project with friends around for conversation and encouragement.  Be sure you are on my mailing list to find out about our next retreat in the Erie, PA area.

I should have had the photos out of these old yellowing magnetic albums a long time ago!  And I should have done a better job of journaling.  Fortunately I did write down dates and places, so that was a big help.  I got through 2 old albums and just kept the best photos – resulting in 28 quick pages – nothing fancy.  And I should have room for many more in this Stampin’ Up! album ( link at the bottom of this post).  I usually like to do pocket pages, but with the old photos being smaller, I did traditional.  Both types of pages fit in the album and can be easily intermixed.  I love the journaling cards from Memories and More to add quick accents.

Here are a few more photos from our retreat.

Michelle F, Paula and Heather went to town on their pages while Joanne stamped up a storm of beautiful cards.

Sue, Lynda, Roxanne, Pam and Brenda were also hard at work.  And Michelle K. is way in the background – she claims  cooking is her craft.   We sure enjoyed some delicious food throughout the weekend.  And Pastor Blair (camp director) and his wife stopped in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. (I forgot to take a photo).    They sure have the gift of hospitality.

Spring Craft Retreat

Me, Karen and Brenda celebrate our finished albums, then its time to pack up and head home.   Making memories while preserving memories – what a joy and blessed weekend it was.

Happy crafting,

Kim Wilson
