Box Card

First – today is the last day to sign up for the May Paper Pumpkin kit (here).  You won’t want to miss this one with the cute die cut panels:

This is the box card I made for my mom’s birthday last month using the Number of Years stamp set and framelits.  The confetti is from a new punch available now for demonstrators, and June 1 for customers.

Instructions:

1.  Use a 9×5-1/2 piece of CS.  Score lengthwise in half (2-3/4) .  Turn, Score at 2-1/8, 4-1/4, 6-3/8, 8-1/2.

2.  Cut off part of flap and cut down half way.  Assemble box with Tear & Tape.  This post shows some more detailed photos of the assembly.

3.  Make 2 – inserts are 3-1/8 by 1-1/2, scored 1/2″ from each edge.  Place at top edge of box, play with the positioning, so the box will fold properly.

4. Add 4 DSP panels at 2-1/2 x 1-7/8.

5.  Add your punched balloons with tiny strips of window sheet and glue dots to the inserts as well as the front and back of the box.   I attached a tiny piece of baker’s twine to the glue dot and let it dangle.  You can also use butterflies, flowers etc.

This card fits a standard A4 envelope when folded.  I have seen other instructions online for a larger box card.

You can find all the supplies for this project at my website shop.  This paper (Birthday Bouquet) is retiring, and only available while supplies last.  Check out all the retiring products at my shop – some are up to 50% off.
