March Challenges – Share What You Love
Stampin’ Up’s Statement of the Heart: To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference!
Challenge 3: A birthday card using Green for St. Patrick’s Day
Use a technique or layout that you love.
Today’s Tips:
-Adapt the Building Block Card Tutorial (Tutorial tab at splitcoaststampers.com) to make different sized popups. Here, I just did the middle 2 blocks.
-When a panel goes over a fold, have it folded, not flat when you add adhesive.
-A double photopolymer alphabet is awesome to stamps entire words at once.
-Geometric shapes are “in” – use punches, stamps and paper to follow the trend.
-When using the Hexagon Hive Thinlit die, put a piece of waxed paper between the die and cardstock for easy removal.
– Use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the hexagons.
– Your banner can extend past the front panel, but be sure it doesn’t make the panel more than 4 1/4″ for envelope fit. Or just make you own envelope with the envelope punch board.
