Stair Step Mini-Album Tutorial

Just in case you can’t make it to class on Tuesday, here are some instructions for the minialbum.  I posted one photo yesterday and here is another version.  Both were made with the retired Good Times Simply Scrappin’ Kit.  I will have a few kits for sale at our annual garage sale June 2, or you can adapt the instructions to any scrappin’ kit.  This one has no stamping, but you could also use 12×12 paper and embellish with stamps.

1.  Cut 4 pieces of paper to 6 x 12 inches (or 6 x 11 1/4 if you are like me and don’t want a gap in the middle).  I alternated solid and patterned paper, but you can use any combination you like.

2.  Starting with the cover, score each piece twice:  Score piece a.  2 3/4 and 3  b. 3 1/2 and 3 3/4  c. 4 1/4 and 4 1/2  d. 5 and 5 1/4  This creates the graduated steps.

3.  Place pieces together and punch holes with your Crop A Dile, adding 14″  of ribbon to bind the book.

4.  Decorate with the Simply Scrappin’ die cuts.  If you hang any pieces over the edge for tabs, be sure to add the same size piece to the other side.

So easy!  Just add photos or use for a mega card.

There are a bunch of Simply Scrappin’ kits that retire at the end of this month.  Check them out at www.kwstamps.stampinup.net
