The Stampin’ Up! Summer SALE-a-bration (SAB) is soon coming to an end. I have one last Hippest Hippo card to share and then will be showcasing some more SAB freebies.

This card was made totally with leftover pieces! I shared my Hippo – COW in this post, but I never added her or these die cut flowers to a card. The stitched circles are also leftover from a card shared on that post. I had this white spotted background left from showing the Dots and Spots Die that is Free during SAB or otherwise can be purchased here.

TIP: have a little basket or bin where you keep leftover die cuts and stamped pieces. Pull it out once in a while and make something fun!

Next I played with the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper, also free during SALE-A-bration. It has beautiful watercolored images for all seasons. My favorites are the houses and the bluebirds.

I cut 4 x 5-1/4″ pieces of the paper and created these card fronts. I again used the Dots & Spots die (see above for links) but smaller pieces so the paper shows around the edges. The sentiments are from the Ringed with Nature bundle, as are the Tree Rings die cuts. The shapes for the sentiments are die cut with Stylish Shapes and then mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Now I just need to add these to Thick Basic White Card bases and they are ready to send.

And if you are thinking ahead to Christmas, the same supplies and layouts will work just fine!

TIP: Craft some made-ahead card fronts. Save space and cardstock by mounting to a card base when you are ready to mail them out.
