Christmas Cards with Frosted Gingerbread

Gingerbread & Peppermint is my favorite Stampin’ Up! suite right now. Who can resist a Frosted Gingerbread cookie? And the paper ones have zero calories!

Here’s a look back at one of the cards from my August Class. We used an angle cut on the cute Designer Series Paper. Be sure to join my Facebook group for the complete class instructions in the Guides (customers and team members only please).

Next I went for a very simple layout that would also be easy for multiples.

I used the Gold Shimmer Vellum to die cut for the “frosting” and backed with colored cardstock with a stamped punched piece.

I tried out the ribbon die on the next card and adhered it on top of an inner lining of the Designer Paper. It made a border for the card too, but the star is that intricate ribbon piece.

Next I wanted to add in the Wintry Embossing Folders and the new Silver Foil.

Oh my, so simple, yet elegant. Here’s the inside.

Here’s how I stamped the inside panels to save time. I put each edge together as I stamped!

Little tricks like this are great time savers when you are making multiples.

And finally, my table mate at the Craft Retreat stamped with the Candy Cane background and I had to give it a try.

Take a 5×3-3/4 piece of cardstock and cut into quarters (each is 2-1/2 x 1 7/8). Here I stamped on Basic White, but it also looks good stamped tone on tone with Real Red and Old Olive or Garden Green. Add a cookie in the center, and you are done.

I hope you enjoyed these easy cards. I know some people like to get an early start on Christmas crafting. And easy is good when you are making multiples. So if you are hungry for Christmas cookies and Peppermint candy, check out the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite at my store.

Tip: In August or September, earn a Sale-a-bration freebie.

Better yet, get the entire bundle (stamps and dies) free when you join my team during Sale-a-bration.

Happy crafting,

Kim Wilson
