St. Patrick’s Day Card
I went with the green today and gathered up some supplies. I had some cool sequins that I haven’t used before, so it was a perfect time to try a shaker card for St. Patrick’s Day.
I saw this shaker card technique at a Stampin’ Up! virtual event last year and have been waiting for the right time to give it a try. I found some Designer Paper with a green pattern, cut it 4 x 5-1/4″. After inserting into a clear envelope, I added some of the green sequins, and a few gold ones too.
I sealed the envelope and folded over the extra plastic and taped to the back. I adhered the shaker to my card with Tear & Tape, then decorated the front. So easy!
Tip: The Story label punch layers nicely under the oval punch. Hopefully the oval punches will be back in stock soon.
Tip: The In Blooms bundle has both a 4 petal stamp and a 4 petal dies – perfect for a lucky 4-leaf clover. (Shamrocks have 3 leaves and 3 punched out hearts makes a good one which is why the Kiss punch is on my list below).
If you want to try one too, check out my supply list below. I didn’t use the Rainbow glimmer paper listed below on this card, but you know, there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, so you need it too!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day and
Happy crafting,
Kim Wilson
