Inlaid Die Technique

My technique for the September Card class is the Inlaid Die Technique.  This fun technique I have turned into yet another two-fer card.  More 2-way cards are featured in this previous post on 3 ways to get 2 cards for 1.

For the inlaid die technique, you literally just add back die-cuts into the negative spaces.  Here I swapped out Very Vanilla Cardstock and Plaid Tidings Designer Paper.  It’s so simple.    For another variation, don’t swap out the papers, but pop up the die cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals – this is called the Eclipse Technique.

Love of Leaves is such a perfect set for fall, and I love the sentiments too.  Here’s a really easy card – note the cool pattern on the side from one of the dies in this bundle.  There is also a die for each leaf that adds the stitched veining.  And don’t miss the stitching around the outer edges of the dies too.  If you are a fan of stitched dies, this is going on your shopping list!

Don’t miss the entire class in my private customer Facebook group.  You can purchase the kit too, just contact me through my demonstrator website for all the details.

Happy crafting,

Kim Wilson
