On Stage Swaps

My team and I are heading to London, Ontario this weekend for Stampin’ Up! On Stage.  And yes, we may hit snow AGAIN. Last year we had snow on on the way to Richmond – never trust a GPS that wants to take you meandering through the mountains of West Virginia!

One of the fun parts of a Stampin’ Up! meeting is connecting with fellow demonstrators and swapping cards.  Not business cards, but handmade greeting cards with our contact info.  Here are the ones I made for this weekend.

Stampin' Up, Beautiful Day swaps

Today’s Tips:

-To make the basket weave pop even more, lightly ink the inside of the folder before running through the Big Shot.  The Basket Weave folder will be available again when the new catalog goes live in June.

-I used Stampin’ Blends to color  the flower and butterfly.  I love how easy it is to blend the colors without lines.  Currently they cannot be ordered, but as soon as new supply of Blends have arrived I’ll let you know.

-To add some sparkle, mix some Dazzling Diamonds glitter in with your clear embossing powder.   For the flower, I just inked up the cut piece directly with a Versamark ink pad.  For the butterfly I used a sponge dauber to add some Versamark to the darker portions.

Stampin Up, Beautiful Day

These were my 2 prototypes, but I liked the clean and simple versions in the first photo so I went with those.

I had a few Whisper White panels from my last class with the Waterfront stamp set, so I made this easy card as well.

The next Stampin’ Up! meeting will be in ORLANDO, FLORIDA in November.  I hope you can join me there.  If you want more information, check out my website and be sure you are on my mailing list.

Happy crafting,
