Women’s Conference
I didn’t have time to post much last week. I was a vendor for Stampin’ Up! at the WCTL Rejoice, Refresh Renew Conference on Saturday. What a joy it was to see many old friends and share a day together.
Look at the sign Brenda made for our card rack:
It’s so true that a handmade card can make a difference for someone.
Here are some of the Easter and Mother’s Day cards I made for our rack using the Hold on to Hope, You’re Inspiring and Garden Girl stamp sets.
Our speaker was Sheila Walsh. She has an amazing testimony about how God can use our brokenness. One verse that hit me hard was from Hebrews 2. “For the joy set before him, he endured the cross”. And the same verse came up in the sermon on Sunday. We don’t always know why we have to endure an illness or trial, but Jesus understands. We see a dichotomy of pain and joy, giving up something/ or suffering now for the sake of something in the future with greater value.
Another highlight of the day was meeting Sheila, getting our album signed and hearing a story about her first album (which was released the year I was married). It was a low budget production, so the cover photo was just a snapshot taken against the wall in her friends house.
I’m reminded again of why I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator with our statement of the heart –
“To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishment…in this we make a difference.” If you want to find out more – please visit my Stampin’ Up! website.
Happy crafting,
Kim Wilson
