Paper Quilt

This post is scheduled ahead as I’m at OnStage2017 in Salt Lake City.  It’s a Stampin’ Up! tradition to make little pillow gifts for your roommates.  This year I used the Quilt Builder Framelits dies to decorate our mini pizza boxes.  I found some little sewing kits at Walmart that were a perfect fit and added some other goodies too.

Notice the stitch marks on the quilts – all added by a die after the “quilt” is pieced together.

This framelit set is really a must have.  And the matching stamp set is pretty nice too.

quilt piecing tips

Today’s Tips:

Here’s an easy way to piece together your paper quilt.  Die cut one solid color quilt with the frame around it.  And then do 2 or more quilts with designer paper or other coordinating cardstock to get a selection of pieces.  Cut a 3×3 piece of cardstock to mount your quilt (here I used Sahara Sand).  Cut a 2-3/4 square piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet.  Peel off the top piece with the writing and place it on the cardstock.  Then when you peel off the other layer, you will have a nice sticky surface to place your pieces.  You will have so much fun piecing quilts together with different patterns!

I hope you can join me at the next Stampin’ Up! OnStage in April.  I’ll be announcing the locations on my Facebook page as soon as we are able.

Happy crafting,
