One of the projects I worked on at my craft retreat last weekend was a card for today’s solar eclipse.  We will just see a partial in my area, but this is what I imagined the sky could look like in the areas of the country that will see a total eclipse.

Today’s Tips:

-Start by masking off a circle to make white space for the sun.

-Lots of sponging is key to this card.  I just kept laying on color, light to dark going away from the sun.   I ended with some black clouds.

-I also added some Whisper White sunbeams using the lighthouse beam stamp from High Tide.

-And cut from the Card Front Builder Thinlit Dies,  a deer peeking out of the forest to watch the eclipse.
