June Card Class

And here is the other card I made for class.  We used the same colors as the Affectionately Yours Suite, but instead used the Picture Perfect stamp set.  The instructions below are for all the class cards.

And this card I also made with the Picture Perfect Stamp set.  The steps for stamping the hummingbird:  Cucumber Crush stamped off, Watermelon Wonder, Crumb Cake stamped off, Basic Black.  I used a stamp from Timeless Textures to make the Crumb Cake border.

You can purchase all these products at my website shop.

Techniques:

Embossing on Pearls1, Metallic Thread2, Tearing3, Fussy Cutting4, 2 Step Stamping5, Dry Embossing6, Drapery Fold7

Tips:

  1. Use Paper Piercing Tool to pick up pearl and dip into Versamark ink pad, then Copper Embossing Powder. Heat. Dip again while hot if needed.
  2. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of panel or image. Peel off backing and loop thread onto the dimensionals before placement.
  3. Tear in one direction, use the side with most dimension. Layer more pieces or make a hill.
  4. Turn the paper as you cut, not the scissors, leaving a small border of white.
  5. Stamp the larger, less detailed stamp first in a light color. Then add darker color.
  6. Big Shot – check out the new platform.
  7. Many different versions (google it). For this one cut 3” x 8-1/4”. Score at 3, 4, 6 and 7”.  Cut off a triangle: start 1” down from right side and go to bottom of the 3” score line.  Pleat the paper and adhere.
