Lighthearted Leaves 2

Yesterday I showed you an easy way to add accents to an intricate stamped image.  Here’s another way – Bleach stamping.  There are 2 ways to use bleach in your stamping.

Todays Tips:

-Stamp directly with the bleach (using a piece of white felt or folded up paper towel as an “ink” pad).  Immediately wash the bleach off your stamps!  Depending on the cardstock, different colors will appear where the bleach is stamped.  This may take a moment as the bleach dries.  It is important to use new, concentrated bleach.

The second techique is called brushed bleaching.  First emboss your images with black embossing powder.  Then take a brush (synthetic NOT natural) or aquapainter and brush some bleach onto portions of the image.

I decided that the Dove of Peace stamp would also work well with brushed bleaching and the chalk marker/gel pen technique I showed yesterday.  I haven’t finished these into cards yet, but you get the idea.
