Sense of Time

There are some great new masculine stamp sets in the Summer Minicatalog.  But until I get to them, here is an older set (Sense of Time) that is just right for Father’s Day, along with the Cog Punch and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Flowers Awash

I pulled out this set to copy a card from our last Stampin’ Success demo magazine.  I haven’t used my dazzling diamonds glitter in a while either, so it was time for some sparkle.  The colors is applied with ink and sponge daubers.  Colors:  Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery I just noticed in our […]

Lattice again

Here’s another project with the lattice die.  It makes a great trellis for these flowers cut with Big Shot sizzlets.  I also ran the  top panel through the square lattice embossing folder (Inlaid or Inset Embossing Technique) before adding the flowers.  Stamp set:  Curly Cute.

Lattice Cross

Posted: Wednesday, April 13th, 2011 @ 10:05 am in Projects | No Comments »

Here’s a cross made by cutting off portions of the paper after using the Lattice die for the Big Shot.  I have lots more ideas for this die which I will work on soon.  The dry embossing is from the Tulip Frame folder.  Paper is from Botanical Gazette and center is an Antique Brad.

Spring Daffodil with Blossom Petals Punch

Posted: Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 @ 7:08 am in Projects | No Comments »

I’ve seen a few of these daffodils around on blogs and I have some real ones just opening in my yard!  They are very easy to punch with the Blossoms Petals Punch – 6 of the long piece (fold the 2 front ones) and one wide piece (fold into a tube shape for the center).  […]

Big Shot Butterflies

This card uses the Butterfly embosslet and the Tulip Frame embossing folder for the Big Shot. Stamp set: Elements of Style, Easter Blossoms also looks great with this layout. Don’t forget the pearls and ribbon!

Cupcakes again

Posted: Saturday, April 9th, 2011 @ 8:34 am in Projects | No Comments »

I can’t get enough of these cupcakes.  This is the last month to get them in the occasions minicatalog, but I bet they will be back in the big catalog in July.  The ice cream scoops are the cupcake frosting from the punch.  The cone was freehanded and run through the square lattice folder and […]

Nature Walk

Posted: Friday, April 8th, 2011 @ 11:20 am in Projects | No Comments »

Here’s another simple project with the Nature Walk.  Love this set!  The matching paper is really pretty too.  As far as we know, both are only available until the end of the month.  Remember class is Monday this time.

Scallop Card

Posted: Thursday, April 7th, 2011 @ 7:30 am in Projects | No Comments »

Here is the last card for stamp class on Monday.  I have jury duty on Friday, so I’m hoping it will be for just one day!  For this card, fold your regular sized card and use the scallop die for the Big Shot.  Just be sure the folded edge is inside of the cutting edge.  […]

Bargello Technique

Posted: Wednesday, April 6th, 2011 @ 8:37 am in Projects | No Comments »

We will make a card at Monday’s class using the Bargello Technique.  Here are 2 samples, one with the technique and one with a faux version.  For the true version, you cut strips of decorative paper, and adhere them.  Then cut strips of varying sizes the other direction and adhere them in a pleasing pattern.  […]
