Metallic Pencil Burnishing and Faux Ribbon

After spending yesterday at the shop with BOTH cars (one was not planned – brake lines gave out), I am thankful to be home and have time to try something new.  Thanks to Pam Bert for this idea.

Metallic Pencil Burnishing:

Step 1:  Stamp in black StazOn ink on Shimmery White CS.

Step 2:  Apply a good amount of metallic pencil around the edges of the image.  a12-metalic-pencil-1.jpgTry adding multiple colors. Step 3:  Take a sponge dauber and rub like crazy to blend the colors. You will get a cool halo effect outside of the image as well.a12-metalic-pencil-2.jpg

To add Faux Ribbon:  Using a clear ruler and your metallic pencils, add alternating lines of color.  For another faux ribbon idea see the card in  the “Don’t Look Mom” post on April 5.
